Carrier Creative was born from a desire to share stories in a meaningful and impactful way. We’re rooted in the belief that by working and collaborating as a team, we can reach any destination.

Jonathan’s interest in the image began over 20 years ago during an eye-opening trip to Nepal. From the stupas of Kathmandu to remote Annapurna hiking trails, Jonathan found himself pulling out his camera again and again in an attempt to capture and share the stories unfolding before his eyes.
It was on his third trip to Nepal however, that Jonathan began to deeply understand how important collaboration and teamwork are to the creative process. As he was struggling with altitude sickness in the high Himalayas, his guide and friend Kumar carried his backpack (including camera gear), motivated him to keep going, and ultimately made it possible for him to reach his destination and gather the footage needed to complete his documentary.
Stories are our greatest teachers, and sometimes, you might need a little help to tell a story in just the right way. That’s where we come in. Much like Kumar supported Jonathan through the struggles of his trek, we’re here to help carry the load, work through the process together, and make the journey easier.
As an artist, Jonathan brings curiosity, expertise, and a collaborative spirit to every project he takes on. His approach is that of a documentarian, a guide, and a friend all wrapped into one.

I hired Jonathan to make a promotional video for my business, and instead, he gave me something much better: a tangible, emotionally-connecting piece of brand poetry. Jonathan took my concept and utterly transformed it, to the point where I cried when I saw the first draft–it immediately connected all the pieces of nature and people and language and made it WORK. I worked with Jonathan on a project to honor our Employee’s of the Year around the Portland/Vancouver area for our company. He did such and amazing job capturing these folks personalities and making them feel at ease being on camera.
